Rachel Brierley: Xmas Factor 2012 Winner

Date published: 21 December 2012

Rachel Brierley is the Wheatsheaf Centre Xmas Factor 2012 winner.

Singing 'All I Want For Christmas Is You', 16-year-old Rachel scored the highest with the four judges to take the coveted title. Her prizes include:

  • £100 to spend in the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre
  • A limousine ride to Gracieland, Lisa Stansfield's recording studio, where Rachel will record a CD

Amongst the four judges, and also making a special guest star appearance singing, was X Factor contestant Carolynne Poole.

The other nine finalists were: Eve Crabtree, Lucy Morris, Jordan Houlker, George Harry Jones, Chloe Glinski, Amelia Woodhouse, Abbey Smith, Remu Begum and Melissa Hurn.

The annual event has been running for five years and Martin Ballard, Wheatsheaf Centre Manager, spoke of his appreciation of the high standard of the finalists and echoed the judges sentiments that though there could only be one ultimate winner, all the finalists were winners and had shown great courage and determination to get up on stage and sing in front of a large, albeit appreciative, audience.

Mr Ballard also thanked the sponsors, Internacionale, for making the event possible.
