Accident on Manchester Road, Castleton, involving ambulance

There has been an accident on Manchester Road, Castleton involving an ambulance.
The ambulance was responding to a 999 call just after midnight when it was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall hatchback.
Three people were injured, including a 22-year-old female and a 23-year-old male.
The fire brigade cut the roof off the car to safely remove one of the occupants who has back and neck injuries.
Fire brigade, police and ambulance attended.
The road between the junctions with Nixon Street and Gipsy Lane was closed but has now re-opened.
