First Aid Training
With help from Lucy's mum in Year 7, Matthew Moss school has bought two defibrillators from the British Heart Foundation. Lucy's mum Angie works for the North West Ambulance Service and she kindly offered to train staff to use the automatic devices with her colleague Rachel Massey.
Angie was keen to make sure the school had access to a defibrillator - she sees how effective they can be on a regular basis. With her colleagues she aims to get the devices into as many schools and public places as possible.
One defibrillator will be installed in the main school reception and the other in the sports hall, they will show on a emergency services database so the community can access them if necessary.
Thanks Lucy - your Mum has been great!
