Emergency services talk woman out of attempt at suicide

A young woman, believed to be in her late teens, was talked down by the emergency services after threatening to throw herself off a bridge spanning Milnrow Road close to the junction with Witley Road, Newbold tonight (Friday 14 December).
Police and ambulance staff spent over two hours talking the woman down.
Eyewitnesses described her as in a very distressed state. She was heard saying she had "had enough of life".
The young woman was taken to hospital by ambulance with police following.
Milnrow Road was closed throughout the incident and re-opened at 11.30pm.
