Revised train service times
Date published: 29 October 2012

Castleton railway station
There is a revised timetable on routes between Leeds and Manchester affecting passengers travelling to and from Castleton, Rochdale, Littleborough or Smithy Bridge.
For nine days, until Sunday 4 November, Northern Rail and First TransPennine Express services cannot operate on the route through Stalybridge on the trans Pennine railway line between Huddersfield and Manchester.
The line is part of one of the main routes across the Pennines and both Northern and First TransPennine Express services are affected. Northern Rail have had to decide how best to utilise the limited number of trains available to both companies and the limited number of paths or slots on the railway in order to provide the maximum number of train services.
