Families at Moorhouse Sure Start Children’s Centre took part in an enchanted outdoor adventure this week.
Children and parents braved the wet weather and muddy conditions to collect all sorts of natural objects from the woodland around the centre.
Everything found was then added to a fairy pot to make a potion, which each child getting a pot to take home.
Those taking part were also given the chance to make bird feeders, which involved handling and shaping the fat and rolling it in seed.
Fairies were hidden in unusual places around the woodland for a fairy hunt which children took part in.
Parents and children also helped to make a vegetable soup to help them warm up after a busy morning out.
Moorhouse Sure Start Children’s Centre offer a full timetable of events for families with children aged 0 – 5 throughout the week.
