Roch Valley Radio the hospital radio service for Rochdale Infirmary, Fairfield General Hospital Bury and the Springhill Hospice have secured a further 12 month sponsorship with Russell and Russell Solicitors who have offices all over the North West.

The sponsorship deal which started in 2009 has been agreed for another 12 months and includes an on-air promotion deal of bespoke adverts and a twice weekly legal advice show offering information on various legal matters including wills and probate to personal injury.

The hospital radio service which is a registered charity and broadcasts to staff, patients and visitors of all three hospitals 24 hours a day is run entirely by volunteers.

Jane Penman, Partner at Russell & Russell Solicitors commented “We are really very happy to be given the opportunity to support such a worthwhile local venture. All of the people at Roch Valley are volunteers and when you are in the studios, you get a real sense of purpose and dedication from everyone involved. We look forward to working with the team at Roch Valley to provide ongoing support to the local community."

Bob Chadwick, Station Manager said “we rely on sponsorship and donations to keep the station going. It costs around £3,000 per year so the continued association we have with Russell and Russell is tremendous and we are really grateful that not only can we keep the station running with their help but we can also offer our listeners legal advice and make interesting radio at the same time.”
