Milnrow man dies following collision

The rider of a motorbike, injured in a road traffic collision in Manchester, has died.
Ian Brierley, aged 60, of Balmoral Close, Milnrow, suffered leg and chest injuries and died on Monday (27 September 2010).
At 8.30am on Saturday 18 September 2010, police were called to Bury New Road, Strangeways, following reports of a collision.
Officers attended and discovered that a van and motorbike had collided near to HMP Manchester.
A 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and bailed until 9 December 2010, pending further inquiries.
