College and salon launch “exciting” partnership

Bury College has extended its training centres to include a hair and beauty facility in Rochdale.

The exciting partnership between Bury College Apprenticeships and top salon Gregory Couzens means Bury College students can now benefit from high quality training in the Rochdale area.

The salon is situated at The Walk, Rochdale and students will learn using the latest state of the art technology and cutting edge techniques. Owner Greg Couzens said “Training is our lifeblood and something we take seriously. Bury College has a proven track record of exemplary standards and I am proud to be part of creating a winning team.”

Jacqui Taylor, Curriculum Director of Hair, Beauty and Catering commented: “The hair and beauty department at Bury College is excited to be involved in this new partnership.

“It will enable Rochdale and surrounding area salon employees to access quality advanced skills from both Bury College staff and Greg Couzens staff.

“The emphasis of this partnership will be to enhance and support the trainees to become the professionals of the future. Bespoke master classes have been included in the programme to support the development of their hairdressing skills.”

Bury College has a proven track record of achievement and their Apprenticeship success rates are well above the national average with 100% pass rates for our advanced Apprenticeships in hairdressing and nail services.
