Heywood shop blaze

Fire-fighters tackled a fire at a commercial premise on Bury Street in Heywood last night (Monday 27 September 2010).
The fire service received reports of the fire at 8.30pm. On arrival they found a fire involving a joiners shop.
Five Fire Crews, from Heywood, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Atherton fire stations wore breathing apparatus and used jets and a hydraulic platform to tackle the fire, which caused damage to a large quantity of timber within the shop along with the roof.
The fire was caused by radiated heat from a wood burner.
