A 38-year-old man was robbed by two men in Middleton.

The victim was walking past a hotel on Manchester Old Road yesterday (Monday 20 September 2010) evening when he was approached by two men and a woman pushing a pram, who asked him for a cigarette.

He gave them a cigarette and carried on walking but after a short distance he was pushed into an alleyway by the two men.

One of the offenders got the victim into a headlock, while the second offender grabbed his feet.

They took him further down the alleyway where they searched his pockets and stole cash.

Both men then ran off laughing onto Walker Street.

The incident happened between 7.30pm and 8pm.

One of the offenders is described as white, aged around 19 years, 5ft 8in tall of medium build. He had short light hair and was wearing a white hooded top and white trousers.

The second man is described as white, aged 18 to 19 years; around 5ft 8in of slender build. He had a small goatee beard and was wearing a dark hooded top.
