Moorhouse parents celebrate course triumph
Fifteen parents at Moorhouse Sure Start Children’s Centre celebrated their success this week in completing accredited training courses in paediatric first aid, food safety in catering and ‘give play a chance’.
As well as learning new skills and increasing their confidence, the parents have made good friends while attending their training sessions at the children’s centre and have supported each other to achieve their qualifications.
They joined to celebrate their achievements at a special presentation at Moorhouse Children’s Centre. For some parents this was the first courses that they had attended since school.
Several of the parents have successfully gained employment thanks to their new skills and some have gone on to attend college.
