Beech House School

We are really pleased in how well the pupils have settled into their new classes. Our new pupils have also done well settling into school. Please see the Autumn Calendar /website for up and coming diary dates over the new few weeks.

Many thanks to all pupils who participated in the collection of the Tesco and Sainsbury’s vouchers. We are now in receipt of there delivery and the pupils are benefiting from the collection. Please note that we are now starting to collect Morrison’s ‘Let’s Grow’ vouchers at both school sites. Miss Walker would also like to thank pupils who ordered through the Puffin Book Club. As such a big order was made, £200.00 worth of books was added to our library.

Parents of children in the Nursery and Reception are reminded that there is a Reading Evening on Tuesday 21 September at 18.30 in the Music Room of the Manchester Road site. On the same day there is a New Parents Social Evening, were parents new to the school can meet the staff. This takes place in the sports hall and starts at 19.30. On Friday a Friends of Beech House disco will be held for pupils in Year 3 to Year 6. The event starts at 19.00.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be held at both sites from 20-24 September. The fair will open before and after school throughout this week. You can also pre- order books via the Scholastic leaflet which was sent home with your child.

Congratulations go to Daisi Daniels in Year 4. On top of being British Indoor Snow Champion and the winner of the Indoor Mini Grand Prix Series. This weekend she became European Champion. She has also been voted the Most Promising Indoor British Grand Prix Series skier,
