Man charged with numerous sexual offences

A man has been charged with further offences following an investigation into historic sexual abuse against children.
David Ferron (born 09/01/1949), of Mills Hill Road, Middleton, is charged with 15 counts of indecent assault, two counts of gross indecency, two counts of buggery and one count of attempted buggery.
These relate to allegations of historic sexual abuse that took place at a scout group known as the Phoenix Rangers between 1987 and 1997.
Ferron is also charged with six counts of possession of indecent images of children, which relate to alleged offences in 2009.
He was previously charged with buggery, four counts of indecent assault on a boy aged under 14 and three counts of gross indecency with a child.
He will appear before Rochdale Magistrates' Court on 27 September 2010.
