Falinge Park High School
Welcome back everyone as we begin an exciting and busy term filled with new projects and hard work. We are delighted with our former Year 11 exam success and know that the forthcoming year will be just as good, if not better.
The new community groups are up and running and every pupil is proudly sporting a new Community tie. Community Leaders have led interesting assemblies this week based on the theatres around the country and the positive impact of the arts upon our lives.
Theatre visit letters have been issued to pupils across the years as there are forthcoming visits to see ‘Our Day Out’ and ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’. The first visit is on Tuesday this week, so if you would like to come along, please see Mr DeCourcey or Mr Morley in the CEPA Office.
Our new CEPA Learning Champions receive their training this week in readiness to support learners across the years in the Arts. The training session takes place on Thursday 16 September from 3.00pm until 5.30pm.
The Geography Department is taking the Year 11 pupils to Yorkshire as part of their GCSE course on Wednesday 15 September. Please contact Ms. Brookes if you wish to discuss the visit further. All letters must be returned as soon as possible.
Academic Reviews begin on the week commencing the 27 September. The first cycle of reviews begin with Year 11 parent and pupils. The reviews are critical to your childs’ success and we hope you will be able to attend. Letters will be sent home in the next couple of weeks.
Music lessons are available to our new Year 7 pupils. If you would like to play an instrument and wish to find out more then come along to the CEPA Office where Mr Jackson and Ms Williams will happily talk to you.
Finally, ‘Eid Mubarak’ to all the pupils and families who are currently celebrating Eid.
