Car collides with child

A nine-year-old boy was involved in a collision with a car last night (Tuesday 7 September 2010).
Police were called to Halifax Road at 5pm following reports of a collision.
The boy was taken to Rochdale infirmary for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.
The driver stopped at the scene.
Halifax Road was temporarily closed but reopened shortly before 6.30pm.
