Rochdale Council of Mosques members meet with the Mayor

The Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Zulfiqar Ali was joined by members of the Rochdale Council of Mosques recently.
The Mayor invited the members to thank them for their service to the people of Rochdale.
Rochdale Council of Mosques is the representative organisation of all mosques in Rochdale.
Mayor Ali congratulated Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE on his achievement and the service to the people of Rochdale.
Ghulam Rasul Shahzad said he was very thankful to the people of Rochdale, and all organisations he has been and is part of, for extending their support to him.
The Mayor also praised their efforts to reach a census on the start of the month of fasting and Eid on one day.
He also praised the local mosques and the local Muslim community in raising funds for the flood affected people, earthquake in Pakistan and Kashmir in 2005.
