Man charged with Heywood murder

Detectives investigating the murder of Lee Pickles in Heywood have charged a 23-year-old man with murder.
Mark Robertson (born 28/06/82) of Grove Road in Middleton was arrested on Wednesday 7 June 2006. He was charged with murder and two counts of section 18 assault today, Friday 9 June 2006.
He will appear at Rochdale Magistrates Court on Saturday 10 June 2006.
At approximately 1am on Saturday 3 June 2006 police were called to Walton Close where Lee Pickles (born 05/02/69) of High Street in Heywood had been stabbed. He was taken to Fairfield Hospital suffering from a stab wound to his chest and died on the night of Saturday 3 June 2006.
Two other men, aged 30 and 40, were taken to hospital suffering from cuts to their head.
