Man dies in fail to stop collision in Middleton

A 26-year-old man has died after he was involved in a collision with a vehicle that failed to stop at the scene on Sunday 25 June 2006.
Shortly before 10.40pm, Christopher Edmonds (born 16/05/80) of Fern Close in Middleton was found on Windermere Road in Middleton with head and chest injuries.
He was taken to the North Manchester General Hospital where he died a short while later.
It is believed Christopher had been involved in a collision with a vehicle that failed to stop at the scene of the incident.
Enquiries are continuing to trace the vehicle and police are asking anyone who saw the collision or anyone with any further information to contact the Road Policing Unit in Rochdale on 0161 856 8473 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
