Robbery at Middleton convenience store

Detectives in Rochdale are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at a convenience store in Middleton last night, Wednesday, 2 August 2006.
Shortly before 10.40pm last night, four men wearing balaclavas entered the Co-Op Late Shop in Kenyon Lane.
One of the men threatened two female members of staff with an iron bar and ordered them to lie on the floor.
Two other men then stole cash from the tills and all four then left the shop. They drove off in a stolen 51-registration silver Rover 25 in the direction of Green Gate.
The car was later found abandoned on Green Lane, Chadderton.
No staff or customers were injured in the incident.
All four men are described as wearing dark bomber jackets.
