Christopher Martin, 34, of Green Street, Middleton has been named as office-based 'Consultant of the Year' by First Business Support, a national business consultancy.
Mr Martin joined the company in 2003, changed departments in 2005 and was promoted in 2006.
“Starting in his current job with no recent experience of the type of work he was about to do, he got stuck in and after some help from his colleagues was soon flying solo,” John Malley, the Managing Director of First Business Support, told the company’s annual conference.
Mr Malley added: “From there, extending the metaphor, he has become an air ace! He’s now seen as a point of reference for his colleagues, and that was recognised by his promotion recently to a senior post.
“The clients he deals with love him, consistently asking for him to be their preferred point of contact. Many of them are among our most important customers."
