Date published: 31 March 2007
Detectives in Rochdale are appealing for information after a 69-year-old man was threatened during a robbery at a shop in Middleton on Friday 30 March 2007.
At 9.10am the man was working in F&D Premier Store on The Downs when three men entered the shop. Two men started to remove cigarettes from the stand while a third stood at the back of the shop.
They then demanded he open the till, holding a wooden pole to his chest. The man said he was not able to open it and the men picked up the till and left the shop. It is believed they then got into a white van before driving away.
The man was not injured but was left shaken.
The men were all 5'7''-5'9'' tall and were wearing dark coloured clothing and balaclavas.
Officers are appealing to anyone with any further information on this incident to contact Rochdale CID on 0161 856 8443.
