Arson attack in Middleton - appeal for witnesses

Detectives are appealing for information after an arson attack at a block of flats in Middleton.
Twenty-five people were evacuated from the flats on Bowness Road after an outhouse on the first floor was set on fire at 10.25pm on Saturday 5 May 2007.
Acetylene cylinders were discovered in the outhouse and a 100m cordon was set up while fire crews dealt with the blaze.
The fire caused extensive damage and police are appealing for anyone with any information about who was responsible for starting it, to contact Rochdale CID on 0161 856 4646 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
