Disability information day

Date published: 28 June 2007

If you are a disabled person, a carer, are related to or friends with someone who is disabled, then the disability information day is a free event you can attend and is to take palce on Wednesday 11 July 2007 at Middleton Civic Centre - 11am-3pm.

The event offers information on topics such as housing, equipment, transport, benefits, rights, carers’ rights, direct payments, training, sports and leisure, health, jobs and the world of work.

More than forty organisations will be there to help with a wide range of issues. There is easy access to all the stalls and advisors will be available to talk face-to-face. Support workers and a British Sign Language interpreter will be there to help.

Light refreshments will be available from 12.30 -1.30 pm.

The day has been organised by the Joint Investment Plan (JIP) team and funded by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.

Go along and see what we can be done for you.
