Power cut in Castleton

Date published: 21 April 2009

Homes and businesses in Castleton were without power following a power-cut shortly before 2pm this afternoon (Tuesday 21 April).

According to electricity providers nPower, the cut was caused by vandalism at a local sub-station.

Power was temporarily out at the Rochdale Online offices and businesses and traffic lights along Manchester Road were without power as far down as Nixon Street.

Tesco in Sudden was also in darkness, with the power-cut stretching down Royle Road.
