Police disperse Rochdale 'car meet' to prevent anti-social behaviour

Rochdale's Neighbourhood Policing Team swiftly intervened in an advertised car meet on Sunday, (29 September), preventing any potential anti-social behaviour from occurring.
The event, promoted on social media, drew the attention of local officers, who acted promptly to control the situation. Police ensured there were no breaches of traffic regulations and quickly escorted the group out of the area.
"The group soon realised that any breaches to traffic regulations would not be tolerated," a spokesperson for the Neighbourhood Policing Team stated. "They were suitably advised and directed out of the district."
The officers' proactive response led to a peaceful dispersal and positive engagement with the attendees, resulting in what the police described as a "positive outcome" for all involved.
