The Gem Appeal is asking for nominations to win a £5,000 Movement for Good Award from Benefact Group.
The Gem Appeal is encouraging people to nominate them for a chance to win one of ten £5,000 special grants aimed at causes that support children and young people as part of Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards, which is giving over £1million away to charities for the fifth year running.
It’s quick and easy to nominate The Gem Appeal online. Nominations for the children and young people special grants were open until tomorrow, Friday 10 November and you can nominate The Gem Appeal online at: https://youth.movementforgood.com
Winners will be drawn at random and the more times The Gem Appeal is nominated the more chance it has of being selected.
The Gem Appeal raises money for research and treatment for children with rare genetic diseases. The charity is currently funding a 12 month research project and is raising money to continue this for a further six months. £5,000 would make a huge difference to achieving this goal.
The Gem Appeal is encouraging everyone to use their social media channels to ask people to nominate them to give the charity the best possible chance of winning.
Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive of Benefact Group, says: “Through our Movement for Good Awards special grants we’re encouraging everyone to nominate a children and young people charity. Benefact Group is the third largest corporate donor in the UK and has an ambition to be the biggest. Owned by a charity, all of its available profits go to good causes, and the more the Group grows, the more the Group can give. As a family of independent, specialist financial services, we are grateful to all our supporters, including the customers of the trusted specialist insurer, Ecclesiastical, and the responsible and sustainable asset manager, EdenTree. Our Movement for Good Awards will continue to help charities nurture the next generation and we know that for many children and young people charities, £5,000 can make a real difference.”
Movement for Good is funded by EIO plc, part of the Benefact Group.
