New Springhill Hospice shop to open in Heywood will include baby department

Date published: 31 October 2023

Springhill Hospice is opening a new shop in the former Simpson Furniture premises in Heywood town centre on Wednesday 1 November.

Alongside the usual offerings of women's, men’s and homeware, Springhill Heywood will feature Springhill’s very first baby department – Lilypads. This will offer baby and children items, from prams to highchairs, toys to babygrows, and Springhill Heywood hopes to be able to support families in the local community with all their needs.

Following the restructuring of its retail outlets earlier in the year, the hospice team decided to open a new, much larger premises – allowing them to raise more essential funds for the hospice care Springhill Hospice provides across Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale.

Honora Crisp, retail development manager for Springhill, said: “The local community of Heywood has always been so supportive, and we are so proud of the new shop, and hope that this larger premises will ensure we can offer the widest range of quality, preloved goods to our local community – and in return raise even more vital funds for the hospice and it’s patients; ensuring we really can make every moment count.”

Springhill Heywood is located at 7 Church Place, Heywood, OL10 1LT in the former Simpson Furniture unit, and is open from 1 November, 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday, and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
