Jolly Josh, a Rochdale based charity dedicated to providing support and resources to families with children who have complex medical needs and physical disabilities, has found a dedicated partner in JMW Solicitors. The Manchester branch of JMW is continuing its commitment to making a difference for families in the community by pledging support for the charity’s seasonal celebrations.
The year began with a memorable quiz event organised by Claire Boardman, associate in the medical negligence team at JMW Solicitors, which saw teams pit their wits against each other to successfully raise £460 for Jolly Josh.
The team’s commitment did not stop there as, along with their families, staff joined the William BMW Rochdale Family Fun Run, demonstrating their dedication to promoting active and healthy lifestyles within the community as well as their genuine desire to make a difference beyond the confines of their legal practice.
JMW Solicitors is now sponsoring an accessible Christmas Fair for Jolly Josh families, helping to create a magical and inclusive holiday experience for children with complex needs, ensuring that every child gets to enjoy the festivities of the season.
Centre manager Sarah Ford said: “Christmas is a time to come together to celebrate, and it is especially important for the families we support to feel safe in their physical and emotional environment. With JMW’s support we can ensure that our families can do just that by organising a traditional Christmas Fair at Jolly Josh.
“Our centre provides accessible, inclusive and supportive activities for those living with complex physical needs, so to be able to turn the building into a winter wonderland thanks to the support of JMW, is amazing.”
Sarah added “We are hugely grateful to JMW and we can’t wait to tell Father Christmas of their pledge, so we can make sure their teams are on his ‘Nice List’ this Christmas!”
The firm's head of the medical negligence team Eddie Jones, agreed with Sarah: "At JMW Solicitors, we believe in giving back to our community. We are honoured to support Jolly Josh in their mission to make a positive impact on the lives of children with additional needs and their families. We are committed to working hand in hand with organisations like Jolly Josh to create a more inclusive and caring society."
JMW Solicitors' involvement with Jolly Josh exemplifies the power of collaboration and the impact that a compassionate and engaged organisation can make in the community.
The Jolly Josh Christmas Fair is being held on Saturday 18 November between 10 am and 2pm at the Jolly Josh Centre, Ensor Mill, Castleton. This year will see the return of Graham Poole’s amazing Santa Truck along with Christmas craft stalls, home bake, tombolas, games, raffles and all the traditional fun of the fair.
