Springhill Hospice ramble success with Rochdale Training

Date published: 26 September 2023

The team at Rochdale Training raised £1,000 for Springhill Hospice after taking part in the hospice's Three Reservoir Ramble challenge on 23 September.

The Reservoir Ramble replaces the popular September Walk to Remember with a fully-marshalled 11.5km route starting at The Oxford, Whitworth Road, before making its way past Hamer Pasture, Brown House Wham and Watergrove reservoirs before returning back to The Oxford.

Jill Nagy, chief executive at Rochdale Training, said: “It’s always a great pleasure to support the team at Springhill Hospice. Our apprentices and employees are always keen to be involved. We look forward to the next challenge.”

Vicki Barnett, corporate and partnerships fundraiser at Springhill Hospice, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Rochdale Training for sponsoring our Three Reservoir Ramble.

“Without their generosity and continued support, we wouldn’t be able to put on such a fabulous community event.”

Rochdale Training employee Caitlyn, who completed the walk with her husband, Bailey, said: “It was a wonderful day and such an amazing charity to support; I would happily do it all again.

“Thank you to everyone who sponsored us; we both raised £200.”
