Bury College students Kamar Machi Alghazalat and Max Morrison – who both attended schools in the Rochdale borough – are celebrating after receiving the highest grades in their studies.

Kamar, formerly of Oulder Hill Leadership Academy, will now study pharmacy at the University of Huddersfield after achieving a triple distinction star in applied science, whilst Max, formerly of Middleton Technology, will be studying sport and exercise science at Sheffield Hallam University after achieving a distinction star in sport.

Kamar said: “I am so happy and proud of myself. I want to thank all my tutors for all the skills that I’ve gained along the way.”

Max added: “I am very happy with my results. Throughout my time here, my confidence has improved and now I have what it takes to take my next steps.”

Our students and teaching staff are a credit to the college, themselves, their families and the wider Bury community.

“On behalf of all the staff and governors at Bury College, I would like to take this opportunity to wish our students every success in the future. I look forward to seeing how their careers develop over the next few years.”
