Date published: 09 August 2023

Rochdale community group All4Youth delivered another residential trip to North Devon where over 20 young people benefited.

The group worked in partnership with the National Citizen Service to deliver a programme, to support young people on their journeys into adulthood, using the outdoors as a vehicle for learning and personal development.

Youngsters were able to enjoy numerous activities for five days and four nights including wipeout, epic challenge, water sports, abseiling and much more.

They were also able to take part in tasks to build their confidence, such as team building skills but also independent skills, such as cooking.

Hassan Ali, founder, said: “We have done numerous residential trips and every time we see new faces and see the young people develop in their confidence, skills throughout the stay.

“It is much needed and gives the opportunity to youngsters to gain skills but also have fun.

“We want to thank NCS and especially our team leaders who made this residential trip possible; traveling on a coach to North Devon is not easy but we wanted the young people to experience the beautiful views and beaches.

“We hope to continue more projects like this in the future.”
