Matchday club launches at Rochdale AFC for young fans to get behind the Dale

Date published: 04 August 2023

Children aged 10-13, who normally wouldn’t be able to attend Rochdale AFC fixtures without an accompanying adult, can now attend with like minded young people as Rochdale AFC Community Trust are offering a chaperone service.

Children can attend from 1.45pm (ahead of a 3pm KO) and enjoy activities before the game in the Learning Zone with Premier League Kicks Officer, KK.

For this weekend's season opener against Ebbsfleet, arrival is from 4.15pm and kick off is at 5.30pm.

Children will then watch the game from the Smith Metals Family Stand (Joshua McCormack Family Enclosure) with a half time drink/snack back in the Learning Zone.

The Matchday Youth Club costs just £10 per child, which includes a match ticket.

Signing out at 5pm, kids are welcome to make their way home, be collected by parents or make their way to the Kick Pitch for the Saturday night Premier League Kicks Session, which is free to attend.

Parents will need to sign children in and out of the club each matchday, unless they complete the waiver stating they are happy for children to travel independently to the club.
