A man has died after an accident at British Millerain in Rochdale.

At around 5.30pm on Thursday 22 June 2023, police received a report of an accident involving a 49-year-old man and a vehicle at the premises on Buckley Lane, Rochdale.

He sustained serious injuries and, despite the best efforts of emergency services, he sadly died a short time later in hospital.

A joint investigation between GMP’s Rochdale CID and the Health and Safety Executive has been launched to make enquiries into the circumstances that led to the man’s death.

A HSE spokesperson said: “We are aware of an incident and assisting Greater Manchester Police with their enquiries.”

British Millerain does not wish to comment at this time.
