Could you give these two bunnies a loving home?

Date published: 11 May 2023

Rabbits Miffy and Lola are still waiting for their happily ever after; could you be the one to give them a loving home?

Miffy and Lola are eight-month-old sisters that originally came to the Rochdale and District RSPCA from a multi-rabbit household where there were simply too many rabbits in the home.

Inspectors became involved and found places for the rabbits in RSPCA branches, with Miffy, Lola and another sibling coming to the Rochdale branch. Their sibling was quickly adopted and went to live with her new housemate [Rabbits are advised to be adopted in pairs, or live with another rabbit].

Despite coming into the centre at a young age, not much interest has been shown in the pair.

Heather Robinson, of the Rochdale and District RSPCA, said: “These girls have been with us since January and sadly, have not had much interest at all which we really can't understand.

“They are cheeky, confident and playful and will make lovely pets for whoever is lucky enough to take them home.  All rabbits adopted from ourselves leave us neutered and microchipped and we are happy to offer lots of advice, both pre- and post-adoption to any of our adopters.

“When given the correct set up, rabbits make excellent pets and there are lots of them needing homes at the moment, including these two lovely ladies.

“If anyone is interested in giving the girls a home, then they can call the centre for more information (01706 861897) or get in touch with us via email (rec.rspcarochdale@btconnect.com).”
