‘Persistent’ heavy rain will affect parts of the north west
‘Persistent’ heavy rain will affect parts of the north west, including the borough of Rochdale, throughout Tuesday (10 January).
The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for weather from 6am to 8pm.
What to expect
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Some interruption to power supplies and other services possible
