GMP arrests eight most wanted during day of action

Date published: 06 January 2023

Eight people wanted in connection with breaches of bail conditions have been arrested after a day of action in Rochdale saw police deployed to 20 addresses on Friday morning (6 January).

Six teams including officers from response, offender management units, Intelligence and neighbourhood crime teams across Rochdale deployed to locate and detain people who have not been complying with conditions imposed upon them due to their involvement in ongoing court trials or early release from prison on licence.

Inspector Peter Crowe from GMP’s Rochdale district, said: “It is imperative that we are arresting individuals who pose a threat to the communities of Greater Manchester.

“What I would say is if you are subject to any form of bail condition there is an absolute obligation for you to adhere to it, failure to do so will result in your arrest.”
