464 bus joins £2 maximum single fare scheme

Date published: 23 December 2022

The 464-bus route between Rochdale and Accrington will cost no more than £2 per single journey from January.

The maximum single fare – which has already been introduced to Greater Manchester services – has been applied to all Transdev’s north west buses, including the 464, which crosses the Greater Manchester and Lancashire border.

Thanks to the government funded Help for Households scheme, the bargain £2 single fare will be available from January to March anytime, anywhere and on any day from bus drivers using cash or contactless payment, and on the bus operator’s free-to-download Transdev Go mobile app.

Fares for journeys wholly within Greater Manchester, which have already been reduced to £2 with support from Mayor Andy Burnham, will continue to be available as normal.

All Transdev single fares which are already lower than £2, and all other day and longer-term tickets will remain at their current prices.

Full details of all Transdev bus routes across the North West and beyond are available online at: transdevbus.co.uk and on the Transdev Go mobile app.
