GMP releases new image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a serious sexual assault in Rochdale

Police have released a new image of a man they want to talk to after a woman was subjected to a serious sexual assault in Rochdale.

Officers were called to a premises on Fleece Street in Rochdale town centre in the early hours of Sunday 11 December 2022, to reports of a serious sexual assault of a 25-year-old woman.

They are now seeking the public’s help in tracing the man pictured, who may be able to help the police with their enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Steven Gilliland from Rochdale CID said: "I would like to commend the bravery of the victim in coming forwards and reporting this very serious incident.

"We are very keen to speak to the man pictured and if anyone has any information as to his identity, or whereabouts, please share it with our officers.

"Alternatively, call the independent charity – Crimestoppers – anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
