Ferno come to the rescue for Jolly Josh with spineboard donation

Date published: 18 December 2022

When Rochdale based charity Jolly Josh sent out a plea for help, Jon Ellis of patient transportation and rescue solutions experts, Ferno, stepped in to save the day.

The Jolly Josh Centre provides support for children and young adults living with complex medical, physical, and learning needs, including sessions in their newly opened hydrotherapy pool, for which they needed some specialist equipment in the form of a ‘spineboard’.

Centre manager Sarah Ford said: "This equipment is essential for the day to day running of our hydro facilities, and they are very expensive. We put out an appeal on social media for a 'spineboard' and were thrilled by the response of our supporters who shared our post which reached thousands of people. Thankfully, Jon Ellis from Ferno was one of those who saw the post and very generously offered to help us out."

Within no time at all Jolly Josh's prayers were answered when a brand new PXB Board arrived at the centre, courtesy of Ferno.

Sarah added "We are so very grateful to Jon and the team at Ferno for this amazing donation which will give our families reassurance and at the same time allowed us to use more funds to help the children, young adults and families who visit our centre."
