Bleakholt Christmas shoe box appeal

Date published: 11 November 2022

Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary has launched its Christmas shoe box appeal for its residents.

The sanctuary, which is just outside the borough of Rochdale, asks people to make up a shoe box full of tasty treats or useful items for its many dogs, cats, small animals or animals in the stables

Gemma Atkinson, president of the sanctuary, said: "The shoe box appeal is always a big event and it means every animal at Bleakholt gets a present at Christmas. It is always so well supported."

Shoe box presents can be dropped at the Edenfield sanctuary or one of Bleakholt's charity shops in Bury, Ramsbottom and Bacup.
