Nominations now open for Man of Rochdale 2022

Date published: 14 October 2022

Now is the time to make your nomination for the Man of Rochdale 2022.

Springhill Hospice’s prestigious Man of Rochdale Luncheon returns on Friday 25 November for an afternoon filled with incredible food, drink and entertainment, to honour the incredible achievements from the men of Rochdale.

Last year, Lieutenant Commander Lawrence Scholes was crowned the Man of Rochdale 2021, in recognition of his incredible work with the sea cadets for the past 65 years, and helping raise in excess of £300,000.

Springhill Hospice is asking people in the borough of Rochdale to nominate the unsung heroes in their communities, and shine a light on those who deserve recognition.

Any nomination for the Man of Rochdale award can only be considered if they meet the following criteria:

  • They must work or live in the Borough of Rochdale
  • They must not have received a Royal award
  • They must be an ‘unsung’ member of the general public having voluntarily given of their time and efforts to improve the lives of others within the borough of Rochdale

All nominations will be reviewed by the Man of Rochdale Committee, and those who have been shortlisted will be invited to attend the luncheon with a guest, where the winner will be announced.

To submit your nomination for the Man of the Rochdale 2022, please complete the form at www.springhill.org.uk/man-of-rochdale.

Alternatively, you can email your nomination and endorsement to victoria.murray8@nhs.net. Your nomination should be no more than 500 words.

The closing date for nominations is Monday 24 October 2022.
