An Oldham man has been charged with kidnap after an incident at Royal Oldham Hospital in August which was attended by armed police.
Daniel Buckley, 31, will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on 1 November accused of kidnap, threaten a person with a bladed article in a private place, common assault, and two counts of possession of a bladed article.
He was arrested on the evening of 30 August and taken to custody before being sectioned under the Mental Health Act in hospital where he remains.
