A Rochdale man has avoided jail after pleading guilty to making indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of a child.
Dale Stott, 33, appeared at Manchester Minshull St Crown Court on Thursday 15 September, alongside Thomas Brammer, of Whitefield, 37.
Stott, 33, was charged with three counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of a child between December 2018 and March 2019, whilst Brammer was also charged with three counts of making indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of a child, between December 2018 and December 2019.
Each charge covered Category A and B images, with Brammer’s charges also covering Category C images.
Category A images are the most obscene, and carry the most severe penalties. Category C images are those which do not fall into categories A or B and carry the least severe penalties.
Stott pleaded guilty to all counts and was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for 10 years (with requirements). He was made subject to notification requirements for 10 years, as well as a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years, was fined £100, and is subject to the victim surcharge.
Brammer pleaded guilty to all counts and was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment, also suspended for 24 months (with requirements).
He was also made subject to notification requirements and a sexual harm prevention order – both for 10 years – was fined £100, and is subject to the victim surcharge.
