Summer holiday foodbank collection

Date published: 22 July 2022

Children at Brimrod Primary School have collected generously for the Rochdale Foodbank to help struggling families over the summer holidays.

The school typically asks for donations as part of its harvest festival each autumn, but due to the rising cost of living and fuel price increases, it was decided to hold an extra collection ahead of the six-week holidays.

School administrator Joanne Morgan said: “Rochdale Foodbank supplied us with a list of urgently-needed items and our families as ever donated generously.

“A big thank you to all our families and Miss Shaw for organising.”
