Scafell Hike 2022 in aid of MIND
A team who climbed Scafell Pike have raised over £1,000 for MIND.
The group of HGV drivers from P&H Haulage – on behalf of the JD Sports Distribution Centre at Kingsway, Rochdale – climbed England's highest peak on 10 June.
The team consisted of Darren Hibbert, Chris Bullock, Michael Rooney, Richard Pattie, Ryan Parry, Joshua Mackrell, Dawn Randle, John Bauld and Richard Kaoiki.
Darren said: “We smashed it. The wanderers put in an exemplary effort in adverse weather conditions. Kudos to the team that participated. We spoke to many people who saw our t-shirts and as such raised valuable awareness to the cause.
“I am so very proud of all the team.”
He added: “Having done Snowdon already, next year will see the wanderers attempt Scotland’s highest mountain: bring on Ben Nevis 2023.”
“Again, in aid of MIND, the team will attempt to ascend 4408ft of serious mountain with a target amount of £1,000. There will be a JustGiving page again and we hope to inspire and promote MIND and all the great work they do for all those that need it.”
