Man charged with driving offences after fatal collision in Heywood

A man has been charged with driving offences after a man died following a collision in Heywood earlier this month.
A collision involving a BMW that failed to stop for police was reported on Rochdale Road East at around 11.45pm on Sunday 20 March 2022.
Two men, aged 27 and 18, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Sadly, on Tuesday 22 March, 27-year-old Simbarashe 'Prosper' Mhepo died.

Alan Michael McDonagh, of no fixed address, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by disqualified driving, causing death by uninsured driving and causing death by unlicensed driving.
He is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court this afternoon (31 March 2022).
