Disruption to trains and trams between Rochdale and Manchester on Sunday

Date published: 04 February 2022

There will be no trains between Rochdale and Manchester Victoria on Sunday (6 February) due to engineering works on the line and no trams are running to Victoria either.

Engineering work is taking place between Manchester Victoria and Moston, closing all lines.

Trains between Manchester Victoria and Leeds will run between Rochdale or Moston and Leeds. Buses will replace trains between Manchester Victoria and Rochdale.

Trains between Southport and Blackburn via Todmorden will run between Southport and Manchester Victoria, and also between Rochdale and Blackburn.

The engineering work also means no trams will run through Victoria. Trams from Rochdale to Victoria (via Oldham) will terminate at Monsall (the stop before Victoria) with a replacement bus service in operation between Monsall and Victoria.
