Goldricks show their support once again for Rochdale Woman of the Year

Date published: 29 January 2022

Local business owners and community fundraisers, Mike and Debbie Goldrick have sponsored the Springhill Hospice Women of Rochdale luncheon with a donation of £1,000.

Goldrick Blinds has been a supporter of the event over the years and has continued to pledge support again in 2022.

The Women of Rochdale Luncheon is organised by Springhill Hospice and returns this year after it was cancelled in 2021 due to the pandemic. This year’s luncheon takes place on Friday 29 April at a new venue, Rochdale Golf Club, due to the temporary closure of the town hall.

The special annual luncheon brings women from across the borough together to celebrate their achievements within their communities, culminating in the winner being bestowed with the prestigious Woman of Rochdale Award Rose Bowl.

Vicki Murray, corporate and partnerships fundraiser at Springhill Hospice, said: “We are really excited for this year’s event. Having had to cancel last year, I think everyone is ready to get together and celebrate finally!

“We have a really exciting event planned this year and we can’t wait to see all our supporters again. We couldn’t hold these types of events without our supporters and I would like to say thank you to Mike and Debbie Goldrick for their generous donation and thank you to Jackson Jackson and Sons for once again sponsoring the event.”

Debbie Goldrick said: “We are delighted to be able to sponsor the event again and are glad to see it return.

“It’s always a great feeling to know that we are able to support Springhill Hospice and the wonderful work they do for people across the borough.”
