Freemasons funding supports Springhill Hospice

The East Lancashire Masonic charities have presented a cheque for over £2,000 to Springhill Hospice.

Sir David Trippier made the presentation for £2,175 to Chief Executive Officer Sam Wells from Springhill Hospice.

The donation has funded a specialised professional training mannequin.

Springhill works collaboratively with the Greater Manchester Palliative Care Educators Network in developing training programmes and their education unit raises standards of palliative care across Rochdale by building a skilled, knowledgeable, effective, confident and compassionate workforce.

Speaking on behalf of the hospice, Sam said: “The mannequin will help us to deliver specialised and enhanced training to all of our staff and other medical professionals from across the area.”

Sir David added: “The hospice plays a vital role in supporting our community and as Freemasons, we are always pleased to support the excellent service they consistently provide.”
